For Rose Marks, life hadn’t turned out the way she always dreamed it would. Her first marriage ended in divorce. And her new fiancé wasn’t turning out to be the man she thought he was. She felt like she had lost everything… including any hope for a better future. That when- in her despair- Rosa decided that life wasn’t worth living anymore.
“At that point in my life, I felt hopeless,” remembers Rosa today. “In fact, I remember driving over a bridge thinking about jumping off it to end my sadness. I didn’t think there was any reason left to live.”
But as she drove over the bridge that morning, Rosa “happened” to turn past a local Christian radio station and heard the voice of Jack Graham. “Pastor Graham was talking about anxiety, not having to worry, and trusting in the Lord, and it just gave me hope. That was something I hadn’t felt in a long time.”
That day was a turning point for Rosa. She says, “PowerPoint soon became my ‘daily medication, ‘ and it really helped me let go of a lot of my anxiety. It helped me find a calm I hadn’t felt in such a long time. Of course, now I know this was the Holy Spirit working through Pastor Graham’s message to touch my life.” Rosa began going to church again with her small children. And having realized her relationship with Christ wasn’t where it needed to be, she recommitted her life to following Him.
Today, Rosa says that Pastor Graham and PowerPoint helped change her life. “I didn’t realize that I could have a life and be happy regardless of the situation I was in,” she says. Right now, I don’t have many material things, but I know I have God. I always will know that. And Pastor Graham helped give me that perspective.”
Rosa also says she has something to live for. “I don’t wake up wanting to die anymore. I wake up happy. I’m thankful for my children, and the life God has given me. I’m so grateful for a program like PowerPoint… and for men like Pastor Graham… who helped give me my life back again.”
